Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber win big at American Music Awards

Beiber fever swept LA's Nokia Theatre last night as the pop prodigy took home four AMA awards, while Taylor Swift and Rihanna were named Best Female Artists
Last night marked one of the biggest events in the music calendar, as America's biggest Country, Pop and R&B artists, including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Justin Beiber, Usher and Black Eyed Peas were crowned at LA's Nokia Theatre.
Justin Beiber was the biggest winner of the night taking home four gongs, including Artist of the Year and Best Male Pop Artist. Rihanna was crowned Best Female R&B Artist, while Taylor Swift concluded her recent run of award wins by taking home the Best Female Country Artist Award.
Entertainment came courtesy of pop princesses Miley Cyrus and Christina Aguilera, as well as Rihanna and Katy Perry, who all took to the stage to lay on impressive performances featuring some suitably quirky costumes.

A few make-overs had taken taken place for the big night too, with Taylor Swift debuting a new fringe and super-light hair shade, while ever the chameleon, Rihanna showed off her latest red hairdo, this time tight permed curls.
Scoring high in the best dressed stakes were Jessica Alba in a stunning asymmetric shift by Cushnie et Ochs, while Miley Cyrus was grown-up and gorgeous in a Marchesa mini with a super-long train.
