Rihanna Loud Album: Expected To Sell 180,000 Units In First Week

Rihanna Loud Album: Expected To Sell 180,000 Units In First Week – Superstar Rihanna is not stressed about the sales on her new album “Loud”. The singer tells Radio personality, Angie Martinez, “Never have I ever stressed out on the first week. Ever since *Good Girl Gone Bad*, the first week was like 160,000, and it grew to sell nine million albums”.
And she’s right, often times artists and labels stress and put so much emphasis on the first week’s album sales but what also matters is how much hype one can gain once the album is out for the public to hear, how many singles are released after the album drops, by having tours, making appearances, etc.
According to Hits Daily Double Loud is expecting to sale a little over 180,000 units in the US which is about 10,000 albums less than her previous effort Rated R.
She will be far behind Susan Boyle’s “The Gift,” which will most-likely stay at number one by selling 300,000 units in its second week, Jackie Evancho’s “O Holy Night” will come in second by selling a little less than 300,000 units and Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” should be third on the charts.

Rihanna has a loyal following and Loud is sure to reach well over Platinum status – eventually.
What do you think?
